Our New Website and What is to Come in 2016

This year has been exciting for the development of the organisation. We have moved our office to the centre of Stockport making us more accessible to members of the public. We are now based at Disability Stockport building. We have signed up to membership of NEXUS, a hub created for BME organisations in Stockport.
Sustainable Development and International Health Partnerships in Wales
On Thursday 10th December 2015, Siyanda Development is participating in this event in Cardiff, Wales. The event will focus on the recently launched UN Sustainable Development Goals, their link to health and well-being. We will report on the outcome of the conference in our newsletter next month.
Siyanda Development 3thousand4girls Campaign
Siyanda Development is launching its 3Thousand4Girls campaign to support girls in education. Through the campaign, we aim to highlight the importance of educating girls and of raising funds enable the organizations to send ten girls to school for at least two years. Our campaign will run for 6 months during which time we hope to participate in a range of activities promoting girls education globally.
The African Diaspora has a critical role to play towards the development of their countries of origin. Annually it has been estimated that they send over £ 60 billion in remittances to support their families, start and maintain small enterprise projects and so forth.
Siyanda Development Trust - Together We Can Give Them Hope
Siyanda Development Trust is a constituted charitable organisation that works with communities nationally and internationally in areas of alcohol and drugs, education and Mental Health.
We raise awareness of, support and advocate young people, their families and their communities on a range of issues.
Locally, Siyanda is part of a BME community hub based within Disability Stockport and while internationally it is has worked with communities in Zimbabwe and Zambia on raising awareness of alcohol and drug issues.
